DENTAL IMPLANT

DENTAL IMPLANT

A dental implant is a replacement of the root of a tooth. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or movable artificial teeth designed to match your natural teeth. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are artificially placed in the mouth to support dentures such as dentures or bridges. They are tissue-friendly titanium screws that are placed in the jawbone and act as the roots of missing teeth.

At DenTroya Dental Clinic; we work only with the highest quality implants and crown materials, so we guarantee the highest success rates.

After a dental consultation, our patients will receive a comprehensive written treatment plan that includes all prices, stages of treatment and duration. Patients will know exactly what to expect and how much it will cost.

The period from the beginning to the end of a single implant procedure, from the moment of implant surgery to the time the crown is placed on the implant, depends between 4-5 and 11-12 months.

Procedure

Dental Implant

The dental implant procedure typically involves 2 visits over a period of 3 to 6 months. The surgical procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia. In most cases, you can resume your normal activities on the day your implant fixtures are placed.

Before the implant is placed, it is important for your dentist to assess the health of your teeth and gums. If there are any signs of gum disease or decay, they should be treated first. Following this, your treatment will be designed after the plaster, radiographs are performed to assess the bone quality and to check the close anatomical structures that should be avoided before any puncture procedure.

After measuring the place where the implant will be placed, the gum is cut and opened to reveal the bone. A series of drills will be used to expand the space by creating a slot while preparing for the implant fixture to sit. The titanium implant is then inserted into this socket and the gums are sewn back together to cover the bone and the implant. If there is not enough bone material to place the implant, a bone graft may be required.

 Healing

After the implant is placed, it is left to heal between 6 weeks and 6 months and to integrate with the jawbone The bone tissue will grow and fix itself on the microscopic rough surface of the implant. During this” recovery period", patients are given temporary teeth (bridges) or continue to wear dentures. It is important that any temporary tooth does not exert any force on the healing implant. After the healing period, the gum is removed again and a post with a temporary crown is attached to the implant. After a week, when the surrounding gum tissue has matured, the final permanent restoration can be placed on the implant.
